THE SERMONS ARE PRESENTED IN ORDER OF THE RELEASED DATE
Origins are so important to be able to understand how we came to be where we are today. "In the beginning," there were no earthly eyewitnesses and so whether you believe in Creation by Divine action or you are holding out for evolution to no longer be just a theory, "The Theory of Evolution," you are a believer...in something. In this video, no Creationist argument is presented, only the words of John as he coexists with sparring beliefs of his time. So, what can we learn from John's point of view. Is it worth considering? if what He says is true, what is he trying to tell us about the book of Genesis and the origin story? It is no happenstance that John, a Hebrew himself, begins his book with "In the Beginning" as is the case of the book of Genesis. Did John, who lived with and learned from Jesus, who was Himself claiming to be The Creator, have an inside understanding of Genesis, specifically the creation of the universe? Please watch this video and see for yourself how John describes, "The Beginning." Blessings to all who are open and teachable.

This message is ideal for sharing with your unsaved friends and family. Pastor James Kirby speaks about the "Mystery of Jesus Christ" from John chapter 1 and references the first verse only. "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God." If the apostle John wanted to communicate anything to his readers, it was the absolute fact that Jesus Christ is God, not "a" god, but THE GOD. Now if you get this one verse wrong, you have to give up the essential truth of the bible as stated in Colossians 2:8-11 - "See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority." I find that very comforting and know that those who were infuriated with Christ and His words, will one day acknowledge Him as LORD. Again, our scripture reference: Philippians 2: 9-11. "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth, and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father." Paul speaks about the "Mystery of godliness." 1 Timothy 3:16 - "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. To deny the deity of Christ, is to deny God's Word as Holy and wholly True. May the Lord of Glory delight your soul as you watch the sermon. Blessings!

When we use the word, "Evangelism" we think of some loud, imposing, TV preacher calling down hellfire and brimstone and it usually does not inspire warm and easy feelings. However, the root of the word, "Evangelism" is Good News as delivered by an angel or messenger. How pleasant it is to be the one who brings good news to a dry and thirsty soul; someone who is sad, lonely, or just overcome with bad news. The scripture declares, "How beautiful are the feet upon the mountain of those who bring good news." in fact, we are told that part of the armor of God is having our feet prepared with the preparation of the Gospel, (Good News) of Peace. So if we consider how delightful it is to be the bearer of good news, might we also reconsider just how formidable it SHOULD NOT BE to share the good news of Christ? Just asking. In this message Jeff shares how we might more readily and easily share the Gospel that can change a person's situation from hopeless to hopeful, from mourning into Joy, and from ashes to beauty. I didn't say that. God did. Thank you Jeff for this most encouraging message. May God richly bless you for sharing this very timely and necessary message with us at Mendocino Christian Fellowship.

When you hear someone say something really significant, you listen. When someone says something not so important, you may not snap to mental attention in a way that the person speaking is going to have much impact on you. In these last two sermons, Douglas has focused on "seemingly" unimportant voices that turned out to be the very words that altered history for two nations while saving lives and exposing another false voice that, if heeded, could have led to national catastrophes. How important are your everyday words to the Kingdom of Heaven? How significant are the "little" things you do that you don't give much thought to? Can your words alter outcomes? The Bible tells us that "Life and Death are in the power of the tongue." Does this mean you can speak "Life" into other peoples' lives? Watch this video and discover the power of your words and change history, for what could have been for yourself and those around you if you had not spoken up and said what needed to be said. You are much more influential than you can possibly imagine.

Can you believe that one small preadolescent handmaid changed the history of the Middle East just by saying one compassionate sentence to the right pair of ears? The scripture tells us the "Life and Death are in the power of the tongue." Here is the perfect example of this truth. How much power is in your tongue, dear Christian?

I have lived for over three quarters of a century and have seen and heard a lot of things, but I can honestly say that I have never lived in a "noisier" time than these last 5 years. Social networks and internet-based 24/7 news have taken over the airways. When I was younger, we had to wait for the "6- O'CLOCK News" to come on the TV before we could hear about the day's happenings. Now the news is not only coming at us constantly, but it seems like everyone has an opinion about the latest news and feels compelled to share their critical thoughts with anyone they are "connected" to; as facilitated by smart phones and personal computer messaging applications. In this video, Pastor James Kirby and Elvi, his wife play an enlightening game of Scrabble based upon Paul's words in the Book of Philippians. See if you can find Paul's words in the jumble of letters on the game board. Hint* It is a very light-hearted game that indeed is full of Light.

There are all kinds of storms that blow through our lives. Some of them are internal and can threaten our peace and contentment. If we were to consider the kind of spiritual storms Jesus weathered we would have to conclude He remained anchored and secure through them all. In this video, Pastor James Kirby talks about the storm preparedness for every believer so when the harsh and angry blasts do come, we too will be able to stand strong and brave the ill winds. "In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world." A world of opposition and a world of deception are constant foes assailing the true Believer. How can we stand in the face of these two Goliaths? What did Jesus say to prepare us for this world's worst storms?

Psalm 119 has 176 verses. It is the longest Psalm in the bible. Pastor James Kirby identifies words like, "Precepts, Statutes, Commands, Decrees, Judgments, Laws, Promises, and Word." He defines each term so that we can better understand their meanings and appreciate how these terms in collective application, helped define a people He called HIs own "Chosen People." When we see Israel in bondage in Egypt for 400 years, they have effectively been denied their independence, governance, and traditions. As Moses leads them out to freedom, God gives them the Commandments and all of the functional terms mentioned above to re-create a nation with a government, social order and person-to-person relationships that would reflect His own heart's desire for the people He loved, unique among all the nations around them, and empowered and prospered by walking in obedience and unity before Him. Psalm 19, written by King David captures in song, David's delight declaring all of these terms as being more desirable than gold and sweeter than honey. When you think about how a law can be more desirable than gold or sweeter than honey, it may transform your thinking about the Old Testament. We encourage each viewer of this video to read Psalm 19 and put yourself in David's royal shoes. In God's eyes, we are royalty. The Bible says: "...Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and has made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Rev 1: 5-6. Does the church today rejoice over the right things or are we missing the gold and honey of God's true riches towards us?

If you want more of God in your life, give more of your life to God. Scripture tells us in the Book of James, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." There is an active participation in the Christian experience that requires an initiation of our will towards seeking God. We find that is especially true when we pray earnestly seeking Him and asking for His will to be done in our lives. Would you believe there are at least six things that stop us from being as diligent as we should be when it comes to prayer? In this message, Pastor James Kirby lists those impediments and asks us to identify which ones we have particular problems with. Once you see yourself on this list, there is a challenge to work with your specific item(s) on the list so that you will experience a closer relationship with God. Isaiah the prophet proclaims, "With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early." You can't find something that you are not looking for.

How could Jesus say with such absolute certainty that nobody knew the day or the hour when He would be returning to the earth and usher in the final times? He said that He didn't know and that only His Father in heaven had that date and time of his return settled. So, anyone claiming to know, is in fact saying he or she knows more than the Son of God. This is patently absurd and nobody should follow such a presumptuous liar anywhere or at any time. This is a perfect example of a False Prophet. The church does ANTICIPATE His return but should we also have particular EXPECTATIONS of what calendar day it will happen? Before you answer. watch this video and then see if you are as certain as you were before watching. Why did God fill the Book of Revelation in so many symbols and signs? If this was a test and God was grading your test results,, would you score a 100% or might you miss a proper interpretation of a sign or some specific event? We would all agree that although there are warning signs like conditions just before a rain storm, trying to predict the exact moment of the first drop hitting the earth, would not be the basis of a bet you would place if your life depended upon winning. How is "Anticipation" distinguished from "Expectation" in the Bible? I know you will enjoy this teaching. Be very, very blessed knowing it is God who is managing the times and seasons over all of us.

On this life-long journey of yet undetermined length, we should be asking, "Where am I going?" When I was a child, I watched red ants crossing a sidewalk on very hot days. I watched them leave the dirt edge, venture onto the hot cement, and make their way towards the other side. I was very amused as I watched them bustle onto the vast wasteland of super-hot pavement, take a few steps and reverse their direction several times. They never simply crossed in a bee-line to the other side. As far as I could tell, there were no obstacles that they were trying to avoid, but they just wouldn't go straight for any length of time. Sometimes they would almost retreat to the starting point again. It looked like they just couldn't decide if they wanted to cross in the first place. Later I thought of what a good analogy this scene would make when considering following human beings on their course through life. Indeed, I've had some employers that behaved exactly like the red ants when trying to lead the company towards production and profit. The scripture declares "Straight and narrow is the path that leads to eternal life." The Old Testament, "...This is the way, walk in it..." Isa 30:21. And for a very definitive road map of life, "Jesus said to them, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me." John 14:6. For those who have embarked on this journey of faith, we know that the only guaranteed path to Heaven is by following in the footsteps of Jesus. He came from Heaven. He returned to Heaven. He will come to earth again, and He will take us back to Heaven when He returns to gather the church from the four corners of the earth. He KNOWS the way like an experienced guide leading hikers through the wilderness. Pastor James Kirby makes this very astute observation, "All roads lead to God, but not all roads lead to Heaven." As you watch this video sermon, consider the path of your own feet because they will eventually bring you to God, but will they bring you to Heaven?

One of the most arrogant things we can do is try to play God. We are gifted and graced with amazing abilities and powers, but we should not presume to be or act like anything more than we really are. God said, in the beginning, "Let us make man in our image." That is an amazing bequeathment from God to his creation. Note: He did not say, "Let us make more of ourselves." Pastor James Kirby talks about what God-attributes Our Father in Heaven did pass on to us, but he also teaches what God did not pass on to us. Please watch this video and ask yourself how much of you reflects the image of God vs. how much of you is not "real" because you might think of yourself more highly than you ought or you just misrepresent yourself to yourself and others as being more than you really are. This teaching is not meant to be a psychology lesson, but a lesson how we can be truly sober minded and just in our own estimation of self. If, on the other hand, you don't see yourself as having any of God's attributes imaged in your life, you also should watch this video to understand what God says He has given you whether you know it or not. There is a balance of being you are meant to experience. We need that balance as we meant to walk with hinds feet in high places.

What is holiness? It is very important to God, because He says "Be Holy for I am Holy." That is not stated as an option. So, how do we become holy? How is it so imperative that we live a holy life before men and God? There is an old church saying that said, "I don't, drink, smoke, cuss, or chew or go with them that do." Is that the very essence of holiness or is that the basis of people who claim to be "Holier Than Thou?" because they don't do certain things. In this video, Pastor James teaches on the very principles of Holy Living that is not just for show or a means to earn our way in heaven. Very good teaching and yo will want to review all the slides at the end of this video. Blessings to all.

Do you believe that your authority as a Christian has actually given you delegated authority that exceeds the authority of Satan? Jesus said "All authority in Heaven and on Earth has been given to the Son of Man." He has the power to delegate that authority to the church and has done exactly that so we now have a better than even chance of defeating the Enemy of our souls. Satan knows this is the case so he uses three misconceptions to rob you of that knowledge of your authority. Watching this video will help you identify the three big lies Satan wants you to believe so you don't win as many battles in life that you can. This is such good information to help arm the Believer to overcome in every confrontation with the Enemy. Not good news for Satan. He loves to keep the saints of God in the dark and confused. When you know the strategies of the opposing team, who wouldn't have a distinct advantage over every play that is called by the opposing team's captain? Answer: Only those who ignore the inside information and play at their own peril.

This video is very instructive from multiple aspects. Pastor James Kirby's wife is a potter and so Jim is very familiar with the tools and the techniques of the trade. So, if we are clay in the Creator's hands, what should we do, if anything, to help the our vessel look like what the Master potter intended for the final showpiece. Are our hands also working the potter's wheel at the same time? Do we trust that the Master is making the most out of the clay with which He has to work? Maybe we're tweaking the process so what we think may display better, will be actually better than what the Master potter is attempting to produce. Do we trust the actions and circumstances directed by the Holy Spirit in our lives to lead to the best possible use of the clay? Can the clay say to the potter, "Why have you made me thus?" Watching this sermon will help you answer these questions for yourself and perhaps help explain the furnace you may find yourself in from time to time.

Paul the Apostle declared to the Corinthian church, "Though I speak with tongues of men and of angels..." This really creates the question, "What in the world was he talking about?" Well, it just so happens that 1st. Corinthians Chapter 12, 13, and 14 have inspired instruction on this incredible gift of the Spirit. In this video, prepare to be reacquainted with many scriptures that explain the gift of tongues and what it is and what it is not, and where and when it is appropriate and where and when it is sheer madness. (Paul's words.) Also, you just might have fun learning about this amazing gift of the Holy Spirit. Everything powerful can be used for good or evil. If this is truly a gift of the Holy Spirit, let's start by calling it good. No, lets call it very good. Every good gift and every perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights in whom is no variableness nor shadow of turning. So maybe we should call this gift of tongues, a "Perfect" gift. Fear not little flock. It is your Father's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. (Luke 12:32)
